The cover of darkness is denied to an enemy armored column by a Rockwell OV-10 Bronco dropping LUU-2B/B flares produced by Thiokol Propulsion. Each flare produces 1.8 million candlepower for a period of 4 minutes and provides the required illumination for the OV-10 to conduct night operations in support of attacking tactical fighters.
