A Messerschmitt Bf-109G heads for cloud cover to evade the guns of Major George E. Preddy's North American P-51D-5-NA Mustang, 487th Fighter Group, 352nd Fighter Squadron. Major Preddy's Mustang is shown as it appeared immediately after the 6 August 1944 mission in which he shot down six Bf-109s.
