Roaring skyward to intercept multiple airborne threats, a swarm of SM-2 Standard Missiles is ripple-fired from the Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser USS Bunker Hill. The Standard Missile Mk 104 rocket motor, designed and produced by Thiokol Propulsion, is the highest performance tactical rocket motor made today, and is the principal long-range weapon of the state-of -the-art Aegis fleet defense system.
