An AGM-88E Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile (AARGM) produced by Northrop Grumman is launched from a U.S. Navy F/A-18C Hornet as it passes a destroyed radar-controlled surface-to-air missile site. In this hypothetical combat depiction, a Hornet is assigned to the DEAD (destruction of enemy air defenses) mission in support of strike aircraft. AARGM utilizes a multi-mode seeker for hard-kill accuracy against known and projected threats, regardless of enemy countermeasures and tactics.
